yeah, every cent counts and can be accumulated. i started mine frugal lifestyle too, but sometimes the maid just not so co-operative, she could let the tap water running but she was in living room. Gosh, like we never need to pay the water bill.

i buy house brands. most times they’re made from the ‘big’ houses too.

The Giddy Tigress says: That’s a great tip which I use too. Most recently I bought some hand soap from Guardian which works just as well as a doubly-priced bottle of Dettol hand soap!… although some house brands tend to be a tad dilluted though…

Another tip for you, before you get a new item, be it a bag or a pair of shoe, you must be willing to throw away/give away your old one. This will limit your shopaholic spending. Tell me when you are ready to give away your Coach bag…kekeke.

At last! A kindred spirit! I too don’t switch on the bathroom lights in the daytime (I figure why waste electricity and wear out the tube when there’s daylight) but if my mom passes by… she will switch it on! She claims it’s too dark without the lights on and that negates any possible savings I can eke out.
