Five Things I Plan on Doing during this Next Wave of Stay-at-Home Order

With the current situation of COVID-19 numbers showing no sign of decline, we face yet another wave of stricter stay-at-home rulings.  The coming months bear visions of more time spent at home with family, and less time gallivanting and travelling around.

Have you thought about what you would be doing, in addition to working from home and doing the normal every day stuff?

I’m going to share FIVE things which I am planning on doing during this next wave…some are long-forgotten items on my to-do list which I am unearthing now and hoping to complete in the not-too-distant future.

  1. Reorganize the kids’ playroom
This room is now also called the multi-purpose room.  Kids are outgrowing some toys and need more space for their bigger-kid activities.  We brought in two desks into the room but it still looks too cramped.  Looks like more decluttering is on the horizon as we make way for more space and more fun activities.
  2. Color my hair
It has been years since I did that and with more staying-at-home, I am uncomfortable with having it done at the salon.  Also, with my super-sensitive skin, I don’t quite fancy the thought of chemicals sitting on my scalp for hours.  Hence I decided to get myself some somewhat “natural” henna hair dye and attempt to give myself a new hair color for the fun of it.
  3. Sing more songs
Singing has brought me so much pleasure this past year.  I discovered singing apps akin to karaoke singing and it has been a joy to rediscover old songs and challenge myself with new songs I never thought I could sing.
  4. Diversify meals
I am hoping to learn and introduce a few more new recipes for my family to love.  Thus far, I have tried making the classic meatloaf and they love it, much to my delight.
  5. Clean out wardrobe
Something that has been on hold for the longest time and I hope to be able to finally do it this time for real.
