(L-R) Miss Venezuela, Korea, Brazil, USA, Japan
I can’t believe I missed the first hour or so of the Miss Universe 2007 pageant last night.
I can’t believe I only started watching it when the evening gown competition for the 10 finalists were starting.
I can’t believe that during the evening gown competition, Miss USA slipped and fell onΒ her butt, and in spite of that she still made it into the final 5, amid the loud boos by the audience.
I can’t believe Ando (of Heroes) asked a question that sounded something like “If you were a superhero, what power would you want and why?”
And I can’t believe Miss Japan won the title, despite the fact that she didn’t really use the traditional beauty queen wave. π
Congratulations Miss Japan!Β And yes Rinnah could be right… East could most certainly be the new standard for beauty.
Definitely Ms Japan, think they felt bad for not giving it to the delectable Kurara Chibana last year.
The Giddy Tiger says: Really? Oohhh…a new twist to the tale eh?
Ah, was that why the crowd was boo-ing Miss USA? Because she slipped and fell? I did find her face a bit disproportionate, IMHO.
How come Ando got to be a judge and not Hiro? Not fair! *pout pout pout* Hiro should have just stopped time and come… or maybe he did… that’s why Miss Japan won. Freaky coincidence? I think not! Muahahaha!
p.s. It’s Miss Korea 2nd from left, not Miss Hong Kong. π
The Giddy Tiger says: Oh, oops…corrected my booboo. π
the loud boos were just too much! I don’t think it’s because she slipped and fell. I think it’s just the usual rivalry between countries… hmmm?
oh well, there goes another year of beauty pageants. maybe Japan won ‘cos she’s taller than Korea… *grin*
The Giddy Tiger says: Japan didn’t win because of the way she waved, that’s for sure.
omg can slip and fall oso hahaha…..
well at least u didn’t miss it totally, i didn’t even know it was on..talk about so darn outdated π
The Giddy Tiger says: Hehe…busy hogging the PC eh?
i missed it too. i hope theres a rerun? but then again i dont watch tv..hehe . hope for dvd:P
The Giddy Tiger says: You don’t? Hmmm…I think there should be a rerun. I have a friend who is also like you too, he doesn’t watch TV. So he catches the F1 on radio π
I didn’t catch it but I was so surprised to read about it in the Star and on Rinnah’s blog. Eastern beauties rock! π
The Giddy Tiger says: I was way surprised! π
… but Ms Japan start it with “Hola, Mexico!”
The Giddy Tiger says: You think that did the trick, huh?
