As I was heading for home yesterday evening after work, I noticed that there were many trees which had been uprooted. I saw one that fell short of a row of parked cars too. I couldn’t imagine what would have happened if a car had been parked there when the tree fell! There were branches strewn everywhere. This was the aftermath of a freak storm which lashed out at Penang yesterday afternoon. When the storm happened, I was having my lunch of pathetic economy rice in my company cafeteria and was oblivious to the havoc that was being wreaked outside. However, I could see the wind blowing rather strongly and the trees were swaying too violently for my liking. I didn’t think much of it till this morning, when I heard over the radio what a catastrophe the storm had caused. And I think that’s the reason why the doormat outside my apartment was overturned too.

No la.. it stormed after lunch time. Went to my “second home” (QB la) for lunch and it was only drizzling when we reached the carpark.
The Giddy Tiger says: Really meh? When I finished lunch around 1:00p.m., it was already raining pretty heavily!!
I heard about this storm, it’s a worrying trend…
The Giddy Tiger says: Yes it is. It’s a definite sign of things ahead.
The End is Nigh! Oh well, we shouldn’t laugh too loud about all those Doomsday bits anymore..

The Giddy Tiger says: Scary isn’t it? Teaches us not to take anything for granted. But hey, thanks for visiting my blog.
Guess what? I was driving with NyonyaPenang to Tanjong Tokong and we saw a fallen roof and fallen tree branches everywhere!
The Giddy Tiger says: I hope you were not caught in the storm! Eh, never ask me out to meet you and NyonyaPenang ah? Hehehe…
Every time it rains in KL I worry whether or not it will flood, be it big storm or little drizzle. But the weather is really freaky nowadays… there’s even hailstorm in Malaysia!
*thinks about that movie (the name slipped my mind!) with Jake Gyllenhall and Emmy Rossum*
