Would you promise this too?

Some bloggers are often led astray when they have been blogging for say months on end, or years… they forget the reason why they started blogging in the first place. It becomes a problem when blogging takes over your world totally and you live as a recluse, not wanting to socialize or have anything to do with the outside world. You forget your bearings and live solely for your blog. Okay, I am not describing the symptoms of blogivitis here, because for some bloggers, they don’t even admit they have a problem.

Last night, as I was doing some blog-hopping at home, I read a very thought-provoking post at Liz Strauss’s site. She wrote about the blogger’s promise, something that was originally posted by Joe. Crystal clear. Precise. Straight to the point.

I want to reaffirm my blogger’s promise today.

My Promise

  • I will be sure to comment on other Blogs if I can add to the conversation.
  • I will respond to comments on my own Blog.
  • I will acknowledge any links to my Blog with a comment on the linker’s Blog.
  • I will continue to link to other Blogs that are pertinent to a post’s content.
  • I will once again be a part of the Blogging Community.

That is my promise to the Community as a whole, in part, and individually.

If you feel you are losing some of the interaction that is an integral part of Blogging, you may want to join me in this Promise to the Community.

Would you care to join me in making this promise today?

Shopping in Mystery

I just bought some DVDs online and will be receiving them next week. I am so excited. But anyway, those DVDs are for Ethan, not for me. Got myself a good deal too, and I am mighty pleased with the whole shopping experience. I am an avid online shopper, as well as a mall shopper, but regardless of either method, I like to walk away with my purchases feeling satisfied and being treated like a customer should. Word of mouth is the best advertisement any store can get, so it would be great if customers are being made to feel LOVED… well you know what I mean. I wonder if some of these great shopping experiences stem from these stores utilizing tools like a mystery shopping service where state-of-the-art technology is used to gather information about customer feedback, in order to tailor make a customer experience that is proven to satisfy and make the customer happy.

Now THAT’s what all stores should get!

This Day in History

Do you ever wonder what happened years ago on the day you were born? Well, I’ll have to admit it isn’t something I do everyday, but Everyday Healy has made me give this some thought. Giving from the Heart

I constantly find myself at wits’ end trying to thinking of a perfect gift for someone. Whether it is a gift for a birthday or a “Get Well Soon” gift or even a gift that says “Congratulations!”, it is always very difficult for me to zero in on one item that I think that person would like. Maybe it is because I am a perfectionist at heart. Most of the time though, I like to put myself in the shoes of the recipient, because then I would get a good gauge of what the person wants and needs, and hopefully end up with a fantastic gift, a gift that is heartfelt and a gift that will leave a warm feeling in the heart of that someone. However, this method will only work if I know the person very well. And when I am caught with my back against the wall as I sometimes am, I know I could never ever go wrong with FOOD! Everyone loves food, right? So giving someone one of these gorgeous gourmet gift baskets is guaranteed to make their day! Gift baskets are the modern day hampers, and trust me, there’s something for everyone. From coffee lovers to wine connoisseurs, or even someone who adores just a bouquet of flowers, you’re bound to find something you like 🙂

I Can’t Believe…

I can’t believe how many friends I have made through blogging.  And now with Facebook, it is even better because some of these friends finally have a picture to their names.

I can’t believe how small the world is.  Just last week I found out that a blogger who is one my readers is actually the husband of my good girl friend’s hubby’s sister!

I can’t believe how complicated that sounded till I typed it out.

I can’t believe my sudden craving for Twisties ended up in me buying a huge pack from Jaya Jusco after lunch today and finishing that entire pack during the 2nd half of my work day.
