A Card to Call Your Own

I remember when I was in school, it was a trend to have a personal “calling card” of your own.  This card would provide details like your name, address, phone number, date of birth, etc.  I’m not sure why this is a fad, but I know I had a stack of cards done for myself as well.  Times have changed since then, and nowadays, we can get beautifully and professionally designed business cards created in a jiffy – how else but online business card printing!  I for one was astonished by the countless designs offered for the various professions.  There are custom-designed cards for people in the Animal/Pet Care profession, people in the music business and surprise, surprise, even politicians!  I especially love the Baby’s Feet design, which is so incredibly adorable!  For me, my card would say, Loving Mommy to an Adorable Baby Boy 🙂

And that’s not all this site has to offer.  They also provide services to print greeting cards, magnets (I love these, because you can just plain stick ’em on the fridge) and postcards, among others.

What a week it has been…

I’m so glad it’s Friday today. It has been one LONG week and I’m SO looking forward to the weekend. Last weekend was a rollercoaster ride, what with the travelling to Damansara and all, so this weekend I hope to take it real easy; hang out with Pete and Ethan, go for a leisurely dim sum brunch, go malling (now there’s a word)…and oh yeah…. complete my tax returns. Bleeaagghhh….!

Early this week, Giddy Tigers was reviewed by none other than PabloPabla on his Blog Reviews site. It’s great to know what my readers are atuned to, and I do take comments into consideration, so if there’s anything you like or don’t like about my blog, please let me know. Or you can even choose to rant about it on your blog and earn $7.50!

On Tuesday I actually SAW the $500 PayPerPost opportunity open up. I clicked on it, but darn…. someone was quicker than me. So it was literally $500 slipping through my fingers. Ah well…there’s always next Tuesday.

Then it was work work work all through the week. Busy busy… but hey, it’s Friday now…I rummaged around and found this gem of a picture. I took it a couple of weeks back when I had lunch at a restaurant in Batu Lanchang. Tell me, would you dare go to this clinic?

Have a happy weekend everyone!

American Idol Night

Tonight is yet another American Idol night.  I tell ya, I am so addicted to this program, I’ve actually gotten Pete and Ethan addicted too 🙂 American Idol is such a household name that I cannot imagine anyone not knowing what this program is.  Hmmmm…well actually, a couple of years back, I had a visitor from the US who didn’t know what American Idol was all about.  Could you just imagine how weird it was to explain to him what the show is and how it is run?

So anyway, this year, I hope my favorite idol, Melinda Doolittle wins.  She has such a humble persona, one cannot help just liking her.  And of course, as Simon Cowell would aptly remind the contestants every week, this is a singing contest.  And boy can Melinda SING!  She is a totally transformed person on stage and one can really feel the passion she puts into each and every performance.

However, I do not want to jinx her, as in previous years, all my favorite contestants were booted out 🙁 I was a staunch supporter of Chris Daughtry, Latoya London and Bo Bice, but they didn’t win, although they went on to do their thang and became famous nevertheless.  So I’ll be looking forward what Melinda is bringing to the table tonight, and cheering her on!  Melinda Do-a-Lot!!!
