I kid you not, peeps.
Finally! Thanks to Paris B and her *genius* formula, I experimented with a miracle combination skincare regime that actually works. Truly, I tell you. And if you don’t believe me, well, you’ll just have to try it out for yourself, now won’t you? 🙂
Recently while hubbs was in the US for a business trip, I pounced on the opportunity to ask him to get me a bottle of Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate. I’ve not tried any of Kiehl’s skincare products, but this product was imperative to make my experiment work. Exchange rate was in my favor too, so yeah, that helped loads.
Well, according to the formula, I had to mix one pump of the Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair serum (which I am already a user of) and 1-2 drops of Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate. I rubbed them both together in my palms and applied the mixture to my face, after cleansing and toning. I applied it to my neck and the back of my hands too… Then I followed with my usual moisturizer. The moisturizer step is optional, I’d say, depending on how your skin condition is. I have slightly dehydrated skin, which can absorb moisturizers and serums pretty well, so it didn’t feel too oily for me.
I left it on overnight and when I woke up in the morning, I was simply AMAZED at how smooth and refreshed my face looked! I’ve had my share of tired, dull skin but this…THIS potion worked wonders! It was as if I had a remarkably relaxing lifting facial while I slept. And I’m not exaggerating!
I used it for a couple of days after that (yeah, see how tired and deprived my skin was) and I’m very happy with the results. 🙂 Each time, I awoke to baby-smooth skin that looked amazingly healthy! I even found out that if I use a scrub or exfoliator before putting the potion on, its efficacy is increased! 😀
Plus, hubbs also got me a couple of sachets of Kiehl’s Powerful-Strength-Line-Reducing Concentrate, which I tried for 4 days consecutively. Yes, one sachet lasted me exactly 4 days. I used it twice a day, in the morning and at night. At night, I used the concentrate in place of the potion combo above. The immediate warming effect of the concentrate was enough to let me know it was working some kind of magic on my skin. True enough, my skin felt incredibly smooth after that. I don’t really have many noticeable wrinkles/lines (thank goodness) to begin with, but still, I could feel the difference in the skin.
My ideal scenario would be to use Kiehl’s Powerful-Strength-Line-Reducing Concentrate interchangeably with the magic potion combo of Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate & Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair, perhaps on alternate days for each. Would you reckon that to be too much of a luxury? But in fact, I am so in awe of the concentrate that I’m not even sure what I’ll do when I finish using the second and last sachet. Run to Kiehl’s to take advantage of their Mega Sale Carnival, maybe?

The Giddy Tigress says: At this point, I would have to go with Kiehl’s, simply because I find it hydrates my skin better. But for every day usage, Estee Lauder’s serum would be more versatile.
