Color Me Good

I loved coloring when I was a little kid.  Hey, who am I kidding?  I still love coloring!  I remember back then we were taught to color “inside the lines”, “inside the lines”!  And I had this mega cool coloring book that would burst forth with color when I use a paintbrush dipped just in water and touch the pages with it.  I thought it was magical then..but now I know it is caused by some ink pigments on the page.  Still, magical is a much better word for it.

I was so excited when I discovered Coloring Pages, because with this, now I can not only relive my childhood memories of coloring, I can also share them with the entire world!  My *magic* paintbrush is now transformed into a click of my mouse and what was once my coloring book is now my computer screen!  The possibilities are virtually endless!  In fact, I can also upload my very own images and share it to my friends for them to experiment coloring it!  That is so awesome – we could even have a coloring contest online!  Now who is willing to bet we can do a better job than this?  Heh heh…

I am a Lily, oh yes I am!

I did this test out of boredom and was pleasantly surprised to discover that if I were a flower, I would be my favorite flower. How’s that for kickstarting a dreary day?

You Are A Lily

You are a nurturer and all around natural therapist.People see you as their rock. And they are able to depend on you.You are a soothing influence. You can make people feel better with a few words.Your caring has more of an impact than even you realize.

What Flower Are You?

And after I did it, I was still bored, so I chose another test to kill time:

You Are Jennifer Aniston

Girl next door with a free spirit.
You’re low key and naturally sexy.
Sweet and approachable, people are attracted to your upbeat attitude.
And even when life doesn’t go your way, you always eventually turn things around.

Are You More Like Jennifer or Angelina?

Come and Join the Ecosphere!

What would you do if you had 7 million bucks?  Now, that’s a *problem* everyone would like to deal with…. me included.  If I got my hands on that, some of it will go to charity, some into my savings, a huge chunk for my family’s benefit and of course, some will certainly be allocated for retail therapy.  Hey, I’m a shopaholic after all!

PayPerPost has recently received its second round of 7 million bucks in funding and are wondering how they can best utilize this moolah for their blog outreach program.  One thing I can say is that PPP did the smart thing by launching the Lucky 7s promotion all this week.  This program will undoubtedly lure posties, advertisers and basically everyone in the community marketplace into the PPP Ecosphere in the blink of an eye.  With that kind of money, they can have promotions like these every month.  I’m sure all posties would be grinning ear to ear.  Better yet, posties with good tack ratings can even be rewarded in cash or by simply creating special high-paying opportunities for them, which they do not need to rush and grab. *hopeful*

Now if you’ll excuse me, I need to go and wait for that elusive $700 opportunity…. *poises finger on Refresh button and prays it comes my way*

Press Release:

The PayPerPost Revolution Accelerates, Sponsored
Blogging Marketplace Secures $7 Million Series B

Draper Fisher Jurvetson leads round and joins Board of Directors

ORLANDO, FL – (June 12, 2007) – PayPerPost, the leading marketplace for advertisers to reach bloggers and other consumer content creators, today announced it has completed a $7 million second round investment led by Draper Fisher Jurvetson, an investor in the company’s Series A and one of the world’s leading high-technology venture capital firms. The financing brings the total amount of capital raised by PayPerPost to over $10 million, giving the company considerable resources for further development as the industry’s leading Consumer Generated Advertising marketplace. Additional participants in the round include existing investors Inflexion Partners and Village Ventures as well as new investor DFJ Gotham. With this investment, DFJ Managing Director Josh Stein also joins PayPerPost’s Board of Directors.

“PayPerPost created this exciting new advertising space and has established itself as the industry leader,” said Ted Murphy, chief executive officer of PayPerPost. “Although we’ve only used a portion of our first round capital, this added support from investors unlocks significant growth potential. Our content creator and advertiser ROI metrics clearly demonstrate the upside for PayPerPost’s model. We intend to use this capital to build the infrastructure, visibility and professional expertise necessary to reach and retain a greater network of advertisers and content creators than ever before.”

Since its founding in June of 2006, PayPerPost has signed more than 6,500 advertisers to its groundbreaking service, which has enabled Consumer Content Creators to be compensated for their efforts discussing specific companies, products or services via blogs, videos or other media. The content creators are required to disclose relationships with advertisers on their blog, providing transparency for the end reader. Over 125,000 Internet postings, most in the form of blogs, have already earned money for their creators through PayPerPost’s innovative marketplace. PayPerPost recently released PayPerPost Direct, a disruptive new service that allows advertisers to contract and negotiate directly with individual bloggers they identify through a safe, managed system.

“PayPerPost has laid a strong foundation for the future,” noted Tim Draper, founder and managing director of Draper Fisher Jurvetson. “It continues to attract a critical mass of participants from both the advertising and blogging communities. Analogous to Overture’s sponsored search model, we believe PayPerPost’s business model holds disruptive potential and will enable the company to thrive in the evolving paid-content arena.”

To mark the $7 million dollar funding, PayPerPost has launched a new website detailing the company’s service offering at http://www.payperpost.com. Bloggers and advertisers can easily sign up at the site and begin leveraging the self service marketplace.

The Borrower

Have you ever heard of The Borrower? Every home has one, and if I remember correctly, there was a movie by this name too some years ago. My brother first told me about the existence of The Borrower in every household, and the more I think of it, the more I am beginning to believe in the authenticity of this claim. Have you encountered situations where you misplaced something in your home and you were absolutely 100% certain you put it some place? But now that you have lost that item, it is not in that “some place” anymore? And no matter how hard you look or how many times you’ve looked, you just can’t seem to locate it. And then one fine day, you suddenly find this item again in that very same FIRST place you had looked before! Deja vu?

Some months ago, I fed my boy some cheese for breakfast. And since he could not (yet) finish the entire slice, I wrapped up the remainder of the cheese and kept it in the fridge. I put it on top of the packet of cheese slices in the fridge. An hour later, I wanted to get the remainder of the cheese which I wrapped up, but when I opened the fridge the wrapped up packet was not there anymore. I distinctly remembered putting it on top of the cheese slices in the middle shelf. I looked on the top shelf, on the bottom shelf and even under the fridge. Although the packet of cheese slices was still there, the small piece of cheese which I had wrapped up was nowhere to be found! I even asked my hubby to look, but even amid his grumblings that I might have *thought* I put it there but I might have placed it some place else instead, he also could not find it. So we forgot about it….or more like *pretend* to forget about it, and went out shopping.

When we came back a few hours later, I opened the fridge and yup…you guessed it, the wrapped up piece of cheese was right where I *knew* I had left it. The Borrower had borrowed it and had returned the cheese to the location where he took it from. Another unexplained mystery?
